The Capital Advisors team provides investment banking and strategic advisory services to help businesses unlock value through customized liquidity and growth strategies. Specializing in mergers and acquisitions, capital formation, and succession planning, the team serves family-owned, entrepreneur-led, and closely held businesses with objective, high-quality financial advice. Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Forvis Mazars, LLP, is seeking an Analyst to join the investment banking team. Our group is led by a talented team of experienced investment bankers, who have a sincere appreciation for people and how they are each uniquely motivated. In this position, you will gain hands-on experience across all phases of sell-side, buy-side and capital-raising transactions, expand your knowledge and build collaborative relationships within the practice and with clients. Further, you will have meaningful support from firm leadership for substantial professional development.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct industry research and perform financial analyses related to client engagements
• Perform valuation analyses using comparable company analysis, leveraged buyout, discounted cash flow, and comparable transactions
• Develop financial models to assess debt and equity financing alternatives for transactions
• Facilitate transaction due diligence processes and information flow between transaction parties
• Prepare or maintain content for marketing presentations, confidential memorandums, and internal projects / resources
• Develop potential buyer / investor / target lists
• Prepare and deliver standard and tailored presentations and pitches to clients
• Seeking opportunities for development through engagement execution, special assignments, training, or business development
• Gain experience and remain actively involved with client proposals and transaction execution alongside experienced senior bankers

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Liberal Arts degree with strong quantitative ability
• 1 year of prior investment banking or other finance / accounting positions involving M&A or corporate finance activities such as private equity, transaction services, or business valuation
• Series 79 & 63 or willingness to pursue
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong writing and financial modeling skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA with relevant concentration
• 2 + years of prior investment banking or other finance / accounting positions involving M&A or corporate finance activities such as private equity, transaction services, or business valuation
• Prior experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Pitchbook, S&P Capital IQ
• Series 79 and Series 63
