The Federal Tax Specialty team brings a forward-thinking approach to strategic tax advisory, offering tailored solutions that go far beyond compliance. With deep expertise in federal tax law, they deliver value-driven planning, proactive risk management, and innovative strategies aligned with each client's objectives. Their multidisciplinary approach empowers businesses to optimize tax positions, manage costs effectively, and capitalize on growth opportunities.
What You Will Do:
- Lead client transformation projects, focusing on automation, data strategy, and scalable solutions
- Design and implement data-driven tax processes using platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent
- Build and maintain modern integrations and data pipelines
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, and Data Engineering to align tax transformation goals with enterprise strategy
- Experience with implementations and process optimization of tax software such as Corptax and OneSource
- Develop scalable, application-agnostic data models that support compliance, planning, and reporting.
- Develop and deploy AI solutions, both classical and modern, to complex tax problems for large multinational enterprises
- Champion a "Data First" mindset-establish governance, architecture, and analytics frameworks that enable reliable, scalable tax operations
- Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, Information Systems or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax
- Proven experience with CorpTax, OneSource, or similar tax software.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytics.
- Hands-on experience with data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage API-based integrations and modern data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of tax data lifecycle, governance, and security principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
- Current and valid CPA, JD, LLM, or recognized tax technology credential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Prior managerial experience
- Prior experience with a Big Four, national, or regional CPA or consulting firm
- Experience in finance transformation or enterprise data strategy initiatives.
- Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience developing AI/ML solutions in tax or finance.
- Experience working in a global enterprise environment.
