The Healthcare Team at Forvis Mazars delivers streamlined, tech-enabled billing and accounts receivable services tailored to healthcare providers. With a focus on accuracy, compliance, and client-specific solutions, the team helps organizations improve cash flow, reduce administrative burden, and free up internal resources-allowing them to concentrate on strategic priorities and core areas of care delivery.

What You Will Do:

• Lead cross-functional collaboration across clinical, administrative, and technical teams to ensure accurate, timely claims submission across multiple EHR and billing platforms, maintaining compliance with payer-specific regulations.
• Mentor and support billing staff through training, performance coaching, and process improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
• Oversee A/R analysis to identify trends, prioritize high-risk accounts, and implement effective follow-up strategies, improving cash flow and reducing days in A/R.
• Manage complex payment reconciliation, including insurance remits, patient payments, and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
• Direct account audits to resolve billing errors, denials, and underpayments, collaborating with payers and internal teams to maintain data integrity and expedite resolution.
• Serve as a resource for escalated billing inquiries, providing expert guidance on insurance coverage, reimbursement policies, and regulatory changes, while leading internal education efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
• 7+ years of relevant experience in healthcare accounting, medical billing, or accounts receivable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with multiple software systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
