The Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) team helps organizations strengthen their finance and accounting functions through modern, technology-enabled solutions and execution support. You will play a key role in shaping and expanding our national practice - managing client engagements, guiding project teams, and driving high-quality delivery across complex accounting initiatives. The role blends technical expertise with leadership, requiring a passion for exceptional client service, a commitment to developing team members, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across internal and client-facing, cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do:

• Develop engagement strategies and lead the execution of complex accounting and finance advisory workstreams in collaboration with AAS leadership
• Serve as a primary point of contact for C-suite and senior client executives, delivering regular updates, insights, and final presentations
• Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance, coaching, and performance development
• Oversee quality control and ensure deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and client expectations
• Identify and resolve challenges in engagement delivery, escalating to Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers when appropriate
• Perform and review technical accounting research, advising clients on GAAP, SEC, and regulatory requirements
• Participating in complex transactions including IPOs, SPACs, and M&A
• Support business development activities, including proposal development, scoping, pricing, and relationship management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years or more of relevant experience
• Strong proven technical expertise in the areas of financial accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, M&A, or financial operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• CPA License

New York City Pay Transparency

Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
