Description & Requirements

The Healthcare Consulting Reimbursement team delivers specialized support to help providers optimize reimbursement in a complex regulatory landscape. With deep expertise in Medicare Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) assessments and Medicare Bad Debt quantification, they ensure accurate reporting of uncompensated care and bad debt. Leveraging advanced analytics, proprietary tools, and decades of regulatory insight, the team helps healthcare organizations stay compliant while maximizing financial performance.

What You Will Do:

• Manage Medicare DSH assessments, including strategic planning, data integrity reviews, and audit defense for complex hospital systems.
• Lead Medicare Bad Debt quantification and reporting initiatives, ensuring compliance with CMS regulations and optimizing reimbursement outcomes.
• Manage multi-state Medicaid reimbursement projects, including supplemental payment strategies, policy interpretation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Serve as a primary client contact, delivering regulatory insights, resolving complex reimbursement issues, and presenting findings to executive leadership.
• Mentor and develop consulting staff, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and project leadership across engagements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and CMS updates, translating policy shifts into actionable strategies for clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare accounting or healthcare reimbursement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree
• Current and valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license
