WNTO members proactively monitor evolving legislation, guidance, and case law, then work with each other and the broader Forvis Mazars team to translate complex tax issues into meaningful communications, develop value-added service offerings, provide innovative insights, support strategic tax planning for key Firm clients, and build the Firm's brand through educational presentations and networking.
Forvis Mazars WNTO is currently seeking an individual with deep knowledge and demonstrated experience in the taxation of compensation and benefits to join our team.

What You Will Do:
- Providing insights and analysis on evolving legislation, guidance and case law to the Firm team and their clients.
- Building the Firm network of key relationships within the tax community.
- Providing relevant information through existing channels so legislators and those tasked with governance are adequately informed about tax policy issues and the practical implementation considerations that impact Forvis Mazars and our clients.
- Identifying opportunities to create new service offerings or improve existing services.
- Developing and deploying service model platforms, strategies and solutions based on judicial or legislative developments.
- Driving the creation and launch of new national tax service lines in collaboration with the Tax Specialty team.
- Growing the Firm's brand as a thought leader in tax through publishing, presenting and other market facing opportunities.
- Supporting Firm tax professionals as an active member of the tax strategy team on selected proposals and key client matters.
- Completing engagements for complex, high value specialty work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation, or Juris Doctor
- 10+ years or more of tax experience with a large accounting firm, law firm or relevant tax policymaking entity CPA license and/or J.D. or L.L.M
- Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills.
- Extensive knowledge and experience relating to the taxation of compensation and benefits, including executive compensation, retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and IRC sections 83, 162(m), and 409A.
- Uncommon ability to efficiently read, digest and insightfully apply complex and evolving tax authority to real world facts and circumstances.
- An aptitude for identifying, developing and deploying sound tax strategies and solutions to complex challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adapt, be responsive, and provide an unmatched client experience.
- A love of continuous learning and a commitment to excellence.
- A passion for serving clients, supporting colleagues, and developing others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ or more years of tax experience focused on the taxation of compensation and benefits, especially executive compensation
- Published author and presenter on the taxation of compensation and benefits, including executive compensation.
