We are looking for a Manager to join our team in the Outsourced Accounting Services group, this position offers you an excellent opportunity to collaborate with clients and co-workers by providing Unmatched Client Service in a positive environment.

To be successful in this role, you should be a self-starter who embraces technology, enjoys the challenge of solving problems and appreciates a variety of clients. This is an excellent role to expand your knowledge of accounting operations and gain exposure to business development activities.

How you will contribute:

• Formally assess a client's current accounting system and business functions
• Make recommendations for improvement in various aspects of a company's financial operations
• Implement recommendations to a client's system
• Assist clients with management reporting, including budgeting, KPIs and other metrics, including internal review of such reports
• Research, discovery, and creation of new business technologies to streamline and grow the practice including opportunities with existing clients
• Lead a team of Outsourced Accounting professionals, including on-going teaching, training and professional development
• Participate in the proposal process for prospective clients
• Represent Forvis Mazars in the professional and business community

We are looking for people with Forward Vision and:

• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines
• Excellent presentation and communication skills targeted to effectively present information to C-level management, public groups, and/or board of directors
• The ability to clearly and concisely emphasize key objectives
• Aptitude and passion for learning new software(s) and other technologies
• The ability and awareness to recognize when an approach is not effective and can pivot to a new approach seamlessly
• Desire to teach and train team members
• Ability to travel as needed (to client locations, Forvis Mazars practice offices and/or conferences)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting, organizational accounting operations including accounting system operations, financial statement preparation and supervision of accounting, payroll and sales tax functions
• Ability to learn to navigate several accounting packages and add-on platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with accounting software(s), monthly/period processing and closing, financial statement analysis and preparation
• CPA, CGMA, or CMA certificate
• QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification
• Sage Intacct user experience and Accounting Specialist Certification
• Business development experience
