The Product Line Manager is responsible for defining business needs, developing product strategy, and guiding teams to deliver significant technology-based business solutions. This role involves strategically partnering with business leaders to proactively provide solutions that fit their needs, and strategic plans. The Product Line Manager will manage business unit portfolios of multiple technology-based products, including COTS (commercial off the shelf) solutions, no and low-code technology platforms, and custom .NET development. Responsibilities include evaluating and recommending technology solutions, leading the development and presentation of business cases, articulating a clear product vision, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver results. The role also involves monitoring the technology portfolio, coordinating project and product development prioritization, maintaining strategic technology roadmaps, and representing business stakeholders in enterprise initiatives. Strong use of analytics, user research, and business cases to drive decisions and continuous improvement is essential, along with staying informed about emerging technologies and industry trends. The individual in this position must be a creative problem-solver with broad solution design experience
How you will contribute:
- Strategically partner with business unit leaders as well as firm leadership for technology needs
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions considering IT governance, compliance risks, and the firm's strategic direction, advising business units on the best investments to meet their unique needs
- Monitor the technology portfolio ensuring that tools and systems are effectively supporting the needs of various business units
- Proactively research and evaluate new technologies to improve existing solutions or solve current business problems
- Understand business needs and facilitate envisioning sessions with business stakeholders and technology teams for new solutions
- Engage with enterprise architects to align business needs with the strategic technology direction of the firm
- Lead the development and presentation of business cases for new products and improvement to existing products to firm leadership for large initiatives
- Articulate a clear product vision aligned to firm strategies and overall product strategy
- Assemble and provide guidance to cross-functional teams, potentially including both internal and contract resources, to deliver quality, timely results
- May be responsible for overseeing or managing the full product management lifecycle of certain off-the-shelf enterprise technology products and services
- Coordinate technology project and product development portfolio prioritization with business leaders
- Communicate and coordinate on business unit technology portfolio timing and help negotiate conflicting needs
- Maintain business unit portfolio strategic technology roadmap
- Provide strategic direction and contribute to product specific roadmaps
- Identify and invite appropriate business stakeholders to participate in product development initiatives and projects
- Provide guidance for in-flight product and project efforts
- Function as business product owner for cross-service line / department products
- Represent stakeholders on product teams with business decision making and prioritization
- Represent the needs of business stakeholders in enterprise initiatives
- Strong use of analytics, user research and business cases to drive decisions and improve products
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation by staying informed about emerging technologies and industry trends and assessing their potential impact on the firm's technology strategy

- Proven ability to lead integrated / cross functional teams from various internal and external organizations
- Prior experience with solution design utilizing no and low-code development platforms
- Prior experience in software product development
- Prior experience in a professional services industry
- Proficiency in helping team members harness and develop strengths in pursuit of successful business solutions
- Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change
- Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision
- Ability to make decisions independently and to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
- A natural tendency to be curious and creative
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to collaborate and work effectively with all organizational levels
- Strong written communication skills including the ability to prepare presentations

- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 - 5 years in related field
