The Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Compliance Senior Associate position manages the firm's specialty training requirements for our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) space and provides support to personnel, as well as clients and others, with CPE requirements in accordance with NASBA and multi-state regulations. They closely monitor firm records and reporting, using professional judgement and experience, resolving potential conflicts before situations arise. Strong internal client service skills, research, along with a demonstrated general understanding of CPE compliance best practices, as well as learning and development, are required.

The role is highly collaborative and must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills daily. A proactive approach to risk management along with superior attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment is required. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are used daily.

How you will contribute:

  • Manage the firm's PCAOB, Employee Benefit Plan, and Yellow Book training compliance
  • Maintain list of professionals subject to specialty training requirements
  • Monitors program completions, shares progress with PSG, and follow up with professionals as needed
  • Assists with the team's general CPE helpdesk inbox for tier one inquiries during business hours as needed, providing exceptional tier one support to Firm personnel as well as clients and others, responding to inquiries within 24 hours, and escalating tier two/three as appropriate
  • Maintains knowledge of best practices and general protocols in a multi-state environment; ability to independently perform research and confidently provide the individual state CPE rules and interpretate the guidance professionally and appropriately. Escalates complex issues when appropriate to CPE Compliance Leadership
  • Provides consultation and guidance to facilitators, instructors, and participants, up to executive level, with regulatory requirements and/or policy interpretations on CPE requirements and Firm policy
  • Review current firm policies and procedures and make recommendations as necessary
  • Helps to identify trends in the industry and participates in or facilitates knowledge sharing opportunities as appropriate
  • Helps drive and support Forvis Mazars' culture, focusing on innovation, results, and teamwork
  • Participates in team projects to enhance knowledge on industry standards to support a culture of compliance

  • Ability to follow NASBA Standards in decision making to ensure firm compliance
  • Strong client focus with outstanding judgment, critical thinking and verbal and written skills; strong project management skills; high attention to detail with excellent prioritization skills
  • Proven team orientation and ability to engage in reasoned dialogue and be flexible in assessing issues and providing solutions
  • Ability to deliver presentations and speak in front of groups confidently and comfortably
  • Flexible and able to respond professionally to emerging issues and situations
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of related experienced required, 5-9 years preferred
