The Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics will be responsible for fostering value creation from the firm's data assets and data ecosystems. Provides leadership to ensure that Forvis Mazars US can leverage data to drive better business outcomes for the firm and for our clients. This position will deliver measurable business value by helping the firm to leverage data and analytics to improve firm performance across operating, service line, and industry business units. This person will have considerable influence over the data and analytics strategy for the firm. This role will also help support and influence the firm's AI strategy and practice. This role will also collaborate with various operating business units to deliver data and analytics-based insights while assisting the Firm's Industry and Service Line business units in their efforts to deliver analytics solutions to the Firm's clients.

How you will contribute:

  • Lead the firm's Master Data Management (MDM) efforts
  • Work with relevant system owners to improve enterprise data quality
  • Manage upkeep of data and analytics infrastructure
  • Lead the firm's Data and Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) which includes actively managing the portfolio of initiatives where the COE is being utilized.
  • Coach and develop a team of Data Architects, Engineers, and Data Analysts
  • Collaborate, and innovate with analytics and decision models by service line, operations, and industry business units
  • Ability to operate in a decentralized, federated operating model that supports core data/analytics services out of the COE while delivering appropriate levels of service across multiple business units, each with differing levels of data analytics maturity.
  • Align data and analytics governance policy and administration with relevant regulatory, legal, and ethical mandates
  • Focus on networking within the firm's business units to better understand how to collaborate with them to better leverage data and analytics
  • Help improve the firm's data and AI literacy (reskilling and upskilling)
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise PMO to manage a portfolio of data and analytics initiatives.
  • Occasionally provide operational support and consultations for other technology departments and efforts
  • Collaborate with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to implement appropriate data security and compliance standards, controls, and policies.

  • Proven record of effective leadership, including the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, build teams and consensus, get things done through others not directly under his/her supervision, and work ethically and with integrity.
  • Ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines, exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI to optimize processes and provide innovative solutions to stakeholders is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's in business administration, computer science, data science, information science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ten or more years of business experience, ideally in business, information, or IT management.
  • Five or more years of progressive team and/or technical leadership as part of cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the following is desired: data structure, information systems/tools, related software and data management, enterprise content management, and record-keeping policies and practices in a complex organizational environment.
  • Broad experience in multiple competency areas of data and analytics delivery. Examples are data warehousing, business intelligence (BI), data governance, data architecture, data integration, data classification, data strategy, data quality management, data security and privacy, Master Data Management, data standards, regulatory compliance, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role
  • Experience in integrating complex, cross-organizational processes, and information strategies, and/or designing strategic metrics and scorecards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration
  • Academic qualification or professional training and experience in legal and regulatory areas are also desirable.
  • Any of the following certifications:
    • CompTIA Data+
    • Cloudera Certified Associate Data Analyst (CCA)
    • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate
    • SAS Certified Data Scientist
    • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
    • Data Scientist Associate v2 (DCA-DS)
  • Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models, Autonomous Agents, and knowledge of Microsoft CoPilot
  • Accounting or Professional Services firm experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the following is desired, but not essential: Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Power BI and MS Excel
