The Technology Consulting team drives digital transformation through strategic planning, platform modernization, and lifecycle management. In this role, you will develop detailed data design artifacts to support business discovery and solution design. You will define data elements, transformations, and lineage to support build, testing, and reliable downstream use.

What You Will Do:

• Support data discovery and profiling activities, documenting source system details, data characteristics, and initial data quality observations
• Assist in translating business needs into defined data requirements and mapping specifications under guidance from senior team members
• Draft, maintain, and update data dictionaries and source-to-target mappings as requirements evolve
• Support ingestion and transformation design efforts by clarifying data elements, business rules, and basic data lineage with engineers and analysts
• Use SQL to perform data validation and reconciliation checks, and support testing activities to confirm accuracy and completeness
• Track tasks and progress in Azure DevOps (ADO), and participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement
• Contribute to documentation of risks, dependencies, and decisions, and support the preparation of regular project status updates

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 1+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, or data support for technology projects.
• Foundational SQL skills and experience working with structured datasets

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Scrum teams and using Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, or other work management tools
• Experience creating data dictionaries, mapping documents, and/or data models
• Experience in insurance, underwriting, or financial services domains
• Agile/Scrum coursework or certification

Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
